The following video is a role play demonstration of Linda checking in a patient who has a long appointment.

In welcoming the patient, Linda:
- Greeted the patient
- Confirmed their name, and the name of the dentist that they had the appointment with
- Checked that the new patient parked in one of the recommended parking spaces (to avoid being fined)
- Linda also confirmed if the patient had something to eat that day and offered an “Up&Go”, juice, or water
- Linda walked with the patient to the lounge (waiting area), provided the consent forms, and reminded the patient where the bathrooms are
