Tyro EFTPOS machine will automatically settle at midnight for medical and retail businesses, and at 5am for hospitality businesses.
If you want to manually settle the EFTPOS machine earlier than these times, the steps are as follows:
- Press Menu
- Select Settlements and Reports
- Select Manual Settlement
- Confirm you want to manually settle after the settlement report has been printed
If your EFTPOS machine is integrated with a Point of Sale (POS) system that uses the Tyro Terminal Adapter, you can also manually settle the EFTPOS machine through your POS computer. If you open the Tyro Payments program on your POS computer, there is a button labelled ‘Start Manual Settlement’. This will ask you to confirm you want to settle that EFTPOs machine, and then generate the settlement report on the computer.
Note: Please be aware that an EFTPOs machine can only be manually settled once every 24 hours, so it won’t allow you to manually settle if you try to do it earlier than when you last settled on the previous day. Manual settlements can also cause settlements to be incorrect if the EFTPOS machine is manually settled in the morning rather than at the end of the day.
